Practices for Life is a teaching ministry that offers accessible and encouraging ways to engage in a wide variety of spiritual practices like prayer, fasting, Sabbath, solitude, and more.
Why spiritual practices
Spiritual practices come to us from centuries of Christian tradition. They are ancient tools that help us connect with God and experience him in fresh and dynamic ways. As we spend time in God's presence, he changes us to become more like him. God does the work of bringing us into spiritual maturity. Our role is to surrender and give him access to our lives.
God is calling you

Meet Tessa Pinkstaff
Hello!
I'm Tessa and I'm passionate about helping people like you discover how spiritual practices can deepen your relationship with God.
I teach workshops and multi-week courses on the practices, and I facilitate single-day and weekend-long retreats. I also lead a weekly scripture meditation webcast (Faith+Lead's "Dwelling in the Word") for pastors and ministry leaders in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
I work at Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota as a program manager for Faith+Lead Academy. I am the co-author of Leading Faithful Innovation: Following God into a Hopeful Future, which was published by Fortress Press in April 2023.
I recently completed my Master of Arts in Ministry from Bethel Seminary, and I am working on a Spiritual Direction Certificate from Christos Center for Spiritual Formation in Lino Lakes, Minnesota.
